GEMACH HATZOLAH, THE ENGINE THAT DELIVERS LIFE TO CHOLEI YISROEL
In the wide-ranging world of Chesed for Cholei Yisroel, Gemach Hatzolah occupies a special place.
For 26 years now, Gemach Hatzolah has served in a lifesaving capacity, taking and bringing patients to their medical appointments and family and close ones to and from the hospital for their shifts.
The impact of this mission goes well beyond a simple ride. Everyone knows that patient outcomes are vastly improved when people who care never leave their side. And for patients themselves, never missing an appointment and being able to be proactive about their medical care, goes a long way towards a Refauh Shleimah BEZ” H.
Here are some facts you should know about Gemach Hatzolah:
•Gemach Hatzolah doesn’t take any days off. Whether its the day before Pesach, Purim morning, Chol Hamoed Sukkos, or Erev Yom Kippur if a Yid needs to get to the hospital, they know they can rely on Gemach Hatzolah to get them there!
•Every day, a couple of hundred volunteers, along with paid drivers give of their precious time to make these vital trips.
•A fleet of 13 minivans and 15 passenger vans are on the road around the clock to take patients and families to whichever hospital or clinic they have to travel to, near or far.
•The number of daily trips has reached close to 300 individuals dropped off to where they need to go, free of charge.
•The efforts of Gemach Hatzolah have directly saved hundreds of lives! And beyond that, they have given hope and peace to so many patients who would otherwise lie alone in their darkest and most painful hours.
•Gemach Hatzolah covers the costs of gas, expensive insurance, driver payroll, office staff, vehicle maintenance, and much more. These efforts, along with the organization’s expansion and recent inflation, led to a total annual budget of $2,200,000.
•Unfortunately, the organization has no income, not from the government, insurance, or any other source. The entire burden falls on the heroic shoulders of the organization’s leadership.
Today Gemach Hatzolah finds itself at a crossroads. The organization is in its most difficult financial state to date. It is reliant on the support of the community to ensure that this vital service will continue to be available to all who need it.

שוין 26 יאר וואס כלל ישראל איז באגליקט געווארן מיט די לעבנסוויכטיגע ארגאניזאציע גמ"ח הצלה, וואס האט במשך די אלע יארן געהאט די זכי' צו זיין שלוחים פון הימל צו ראטעווען אלפי חולי ישראל און דינען אלס רעטונגס-ברעט פאר זייערע משפחות, דורכ'ן צושטעלן די אומזיסטע רייזעס צו שפיטעלער.
אידן קענען זיך נישט גענוג אפוואונדערן וואספארא געוואלדיגע רעטונג די הייליגע ארגאניזאציע באדייט פאר חולי ישראל ומשמשיהן, און ווער האט דען נאך נישט גענאסן פון זייער ווארעמהארציגע הילף וואס ווערט סערווירט מיט א גרעניצלאזע מאס חסד, שטייענדיג גרייט ווען אימער צו באדינען די פאציענטן און זייערע באגלייטער, מיט די אומזינסטע טריפס צו און פון שפיטאל, נאנט און ווייט, זומער און ווינטער, ערבי שבתים, פורים נאכמיטאג און ערב פסח, און ווען דען נישט.
גמ"ח הצלה האט איבער 30 דרייווערס, וואס דרייווען אויף א טעגליכע פארנעם. דערצו נאך הונדערטער רעזערוו וואלונטירן וואס געבן אוועק פון זיך שעות צו קענען מאכן טריפס.
גמ"ח הצלה האט א מאסיווע פלאטע פון אזויפיל ווי "13 ווענס/ספרינטערס", וואס זענען רונדע דעם זייגער אקטיוו אויף די שאסייען צו פירן די חולי ישראל צו שפיטעלער און קליניקס, וואו אימער דער חולה דארף נאר אנקומען..
גמ"ח הצלה האט א נומער פון טעגליכע טריפס וואס גרייכט שוין היינט ביז איבער 200 רייזנדע, ממש אויף א טעגליכער פארנעם.
גמ"ח הצלה האט אן עול פון צאלן געז, צאלן טייערע אינשורענס, צאלן פעיראל פאר פילע דרייווער'ס, צאלן די אפיס ווירטשאפט, ווענס-מעינטענענס אא"וו.
גמ"ח הצלה האט א רעקארד פון הונדערטער חולי ישראל וועם מ'האט געראטעוועט דאס לעבן מיט'ן זיי ברענגען די נאנטע צו זיין אלעמאל ביים בעט, און פילע פון זיי כאטש פארגרינגערט די ביטערע שמערצן ליגנדיג איינזאם אין שפיטאל.
גמ"ח הצלה האט שוין א בודזשעט פון אריבער $2,500,000 צוויי אהאלב מיליאן א יאר! אין ליכט פון די נאכאנאנדע אויסברייטערונגען, און ספעציעל אין רעזולטאט פון די שווערע אינפלאציע און טייערע הוצאות.
גמ"ח הצלה האט אבער נישט קיין שום הכנסה, רעגירונגס הילף אדער אינשורענס וכדו' און געפינט זיך אין א שווערע פינאנציעלע לאגע, אין א צייט ווען עס קאסט פאר גמ"ח הצלה פיל מער ווי סיי-ווען בעפאר.
היינט וועלן מיר עפענען די הערצער און דערהערן דעם טיף-הארציגן רוף פון אזויפיל חולי ישראל ל"ע וועלכע שרייען נאך אונזער הילף, און נעמען א חלק אין די הצלת נפשות רייזעס.
